Millie Bobby Brown and Rachel Brosnahan are teaming up for a new supernatural show called Prism, which is now being developed at Netflix. The news first came from Deadline, though Netflix hasn’t made an official comment about the project yet.
Millie Bobby Brown, best known for Stranger Things and Enola Holmes, will star in the series and also serve as an executive producer through her company, PCMA. Rachel Brosnahan, who recently played Lois Lane in Superman and is known for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, will also executive produce through her banner, Scrap Paper Pictures.
The project comes from AGBO, the Russo Brothers’ production company, marking their third collaboration with Netflix.
In Prism, Brown will play Cassie, a woman who can communicate with ghosts. When mysterious “visitors” begin appearing all over the world, she must figure out what’s causing it before it’s too late.
The story is based on a short story called Prism, originally published in Assemble Media’s magazine Assemble Artifacts. The series was developed with writer Nick Shafir, who will also co-executive produce.
Etan Frankel, who has worked on Shameless and Joe vs. Carole, will be the showrunner. Other executive producers include Anthony and Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes, Alessandra Maman, and Russell Kahn for AGBO, along with Jack Heller and Caitlin de Lisser-Ellen from Assemble Media.
According to Deadline’s sources, Prism will not interfere with Brown’s other ongoing projects. This marks her second collaboration with AGBO after starring in The Electric State, another Netflix project directed by the Russo Brothers.
The new show continues Brown’s long-running relationship with Netflix, which started with Stranger Things. The hit series is wrapping up with its fifth and final season later this year, set to release in three parts between November and December. Brown has also starred in the popular Enola Holmes films, with a third movie expected to arrive in 2026.
Brosnahan’s connection with Netflix also goes back several years. She appeared in House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black, and the film Saturn Return with Charles Melton and Will Poulter. She recently joined Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent for its second season, where she’ll both star and executive produce.
