Alec and Stephen Baldwin Involved & Injured in Hamptons Car Crash

Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car accident in the Hamptons, New York, but both are reported to be safe.

Stephen Baldwin’s representative confirmed that “Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well.”

Alec Baldwin also addressed the crash on Instagram, assuring fans that he was unharmed. “This morning, I was in a car accident. I’m fine,” he wrote. He explained that while driving his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s car, a large garbage truck cut him off. “To avoid hitting him, I hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife’s car. I feel bad about that,” Alec added.

He emphasized that despite the damage to the car, everyone involved was okay. “That’s all fine, and I’m fine, and my brother’s fine. My wife’s car is pretty smashed up. Big tree, big fat tree,” he said.

Alec thanked the East Hampton Police Department for their assistance and mentioned plans to fly to Los Angeles to reunite with his family. “I’m going to L.A. to see my family. Can’t wait. Going out to California to gather my family together, spend a few days out there and then come home,” he shared.

He also expressed pride in his wife following her recent elimination from Dancing with the Stars, saying, “I’m still so proud of my wife, Hilaria. I love you more than anything, and I’m very proud of you.”

TMZ first reported the incident, stating that the Baldwins’ Range Rover collided with a tree. Photos obtained by the outlet show significant front-end damage to the SUV and a garbage truck nearby. According to TMZ, the trucking company claimed its driver was not at fault.

Alec Baldwin, 67, was in the area for the Hamptons International Film Festival, which concluded Sunday evening. He had also attended the Buffalo Film Festival the previous Saturday.
