In Pitfall, Couture plays a relentless, vengeful killer, and the first photos give a glimpse of his menacing character. The film’s story centers on a young man who becomes trapped in a spike-lined pit in the woods. As he struggles to survive, he uncovers that the accident was actually a planned, terrifying setup. The movie explores the backstory of Couture’s killer, adding depth to the horror experience.

The cast also includes Richard Harmon, known for Final Destination Bloodlines, alongside Marshall Williams, Alexandra Essoe, Jordan Claire Robbins, and Matt Hamilton. James Kondelik directs the film, with Victor Rose penning the screenplay. Producers Wai Sun Cheng and Alex Bogomolov oversee the project through Dragon Bear Pictures, collaborating with Pandapix Pictures and Siberian Gem.

Pitfall is scheduled to premiere on October 15, 2025, at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles during Screamfest 2025. Fans of horror and martial arts alike will likely be eager to see Couture in a new, darker role.

Casting Randy Couture as a terrifying villain is a bold move that could bring a unique physicality and intensity to the film. His transition from MMA to horror is intriguing, and Pitfall looks poised to deliver suspense and action. What do you think about Couture taking on such a dark role?
