The first trailer for Sam Raimi’s new horror film Send Help has arrived, giving audiences a tense preview of what looks like a chilling and darkly humorous survival story.

The movie stars Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien as two co-workers who become the only survivors of a plane crash during a business trip. Stranded on a deserted island, they must rely on each other to stay alive, but their uneasy partnership quickly turns into a dangerous psychological battle.

Send Help is directed by Sam Raimi, known for Evil Dead and Drag Me to Hell, and written by Mark Swift and Damian Shannon. The film also features Dennis Haysbert, Chris Pang, Edyll Ismail, Xavier Samuel, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, and Emma Raimi in supporting roles.

According to 20th Century Studios, the story follows “Linda Liddle (Rachel McAdams) and Bradley Preston (Dylan O’Brien), two colleagues who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after they are the only survivors of a plane crash. They must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it is an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.”

The project has been in development for several years. It began back in 2019 when Columbia Pictures announced that Raimi would direct a new horror film written by Swift and Shannon. The project later moved to 20th Century Studios and was officially titled Send Help.

Rachel McAdams joined the cast in 2024, with Dylan O’Brien and Dennis Haysbert coming on board early in 2025. Filming began in February and took place across several locations, including Sydney, Los Angeles, and Thailand. Production wrapped in April of the same year.

Send Help is set to be released in theaters across the United States on January 30, 2026.
