According to Tuttosport, Inter Milan have added their name to the list of clubs interested in signing Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, whose contract expires at the end of the season and who is highly unlikely to sign a new one.
The prospect of such a high-quality defender being available on a free transfer has obviously attracted plenty of attention across Europe. However, the Italian outlet also suggests that Liverpool, who saw a Deadline Day move for the England international fall through this summer, remain the favourites to add him to their ranks, despite Inter, along with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, keeping a close eye on the situation.
Guehi has continued putting in excellent performances in the Palace shirt this season, not only as a defensive stalwart, but also scoring one goal and contributing an assist while playing in all seven Premier League matches so far.
It remains to be seen if any of the interested clubs decide to get a head start on the competition by submitting an offer for his services in January. They will, on the other hand, be aware that playing regularly for the rest of the campaign would certainly boost his chances of representing England at the World Cup next year.
