Winning Tips: Live Mas means “live more,” and the Taco Bell Foundation is looking for unique students who are proud of their differences and are “innovators, creators, and dreamers.” For the essay, don’t skip this option: “You may include one photo that represents your passion.”
Here is helpful video creation and submission advice, so students need to take some time to read these tips if submitting a video, and read the tips found here if choosing the written essay option: College Scholarship Essay Help.
This scholarship is awarding up to $14 million, so don’t miss out!
For video submissions, “The judges are not looking for students who know how to make professional videos, rather those that can best share their passions in a unique way.”
This is extremely important for both the videos and essay responses:
“Live Más means embracing an unconventional path to your goals – defying the norm, turning curiosity into bold action that lifts others while staying true to who you are. Tell us your story in a way that’s authentic and connect how your education or goals fuel your passion.”
Videos and essays should answer these questions:
What is your passion and how are you currently pursuing it?
How do you plan to use your passion to make your community, country, and/or world, etc. a better place? (The impact you hope to make.)
How do you embody the spirit of Live Más in your everyday life?
Video Specifications: “Your submission video must be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes in length.
Think about filming this video on a phone, computer, tablet, or any other MP4 video-enabled camera to which you have access. It could be a short film, animation, or a simple testimonial.
This isn’t about how well you can make a video or write an essay—The judges want to “learn more about you, your passion, and how you plan to ignite change in your community and beyond.”
This is super helpful and important advice about what the judges will be looking for that all students should review before submitting their videos or essays for the Taco Bell Live Mas College Scholarship:
Passion: Applicant demonstrates a passion they want to pursue in life and explains the steps they are currently taking to pursue that passion.
Impact: Applicant has a clear goal that they want to achieve to create positive change in their community and beyond and is committed to making it happen.
Personal Presentation: Applicant shares their personal story in an emotionally inspiring and authentic way.

What are parents saying about the ebooks? THIS!
“I ordered both ebooks and the organizer and thought they were very affordable. I had my daughter read the student book while I read the parents book. Yes, a lot of it is common sense if you are in the academic world already. But it’s all organized for you and everything you need is in one place! The tips for searching for scholarships has been really helpful (almost too helpful, we’ve found more than we could ever have time to apply for). The organizer packet was really helpful in putting everything on a spreadsheet. I even found some scholarships for my younger kids. We’ve only applied to 2 scholarships so far. We won one of them and are waiting to hear on the other.” – Shannon F., Scholarship Help and College Talk for Parents group member
