KISSGene Simmons has officiated the wedding of Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante and singer Carla Harvey.

Benante and Harvey announced they were engaged last year after several years of dating, when Benante proposed during a U2 show at The Sphere in Las Vegas.

Now, the pair have officially tied the knot at the Secret Garden in Las Vegas – with KISS bassist and singer Simmons as their officiator.

The wedding was reportedly attended by more than 200 guests, with members of Pantera, Mötley Crüe, Dream Theatre and Nickelback spotted at the wedding (via Blabbermouth).

Former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick was also in attendance, writing on Facebook: “A fun rockin’ time was had by all last night at Charlie and Carla Benante’s beautiful Wedding. Gene officiated, Elvis appeared, Las Vegas Show girls entertained. There was great music, delicious food, an elaborate drone show in the sky above while everyone danced. Thank you Charlie and Carla for an amazing evening in Las Vegas”.

Just days ago, Gene Simmons was reported to have crashed his car in Malibu.

While an exact cause has yet to be deciphered, Simmons has reportedly told authorities that he had fainted or passed out while behind the wheel.

Simmons’ wife, Shannon Tweed, reportedly added that the car travelled through several lanes of traffic before crashing into a parked vehicle. Tweed also alleges that the accident could have been caused by a recent change in the KISS bassist and singer’s medication.

The KISS bassist and singer has since taken to social media to assure fans that he was “completely fine”, adding: “I had a slight fender bender. It happens. Especially to those of us who’re horrible drivers. And that’s me. All is well.”

Elsewhere, Gene Simmons has shared what Ozzy Osbourne taught him before his “heartbreaking” death.
