First Look: Trailer for ‘The Family Plan 2’ Starring Mark Wahlberg and Kit Harington Drops

AppleTV+ has released the first trailer for The Family Plan 2, the sequel to the 2023 action-comedy hit. The film brings back Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan, Zoe Colletti, and Van Crosby, and introduces Kit Harington in a new role.

Directed by Simon Cellan Jones and written by David Coggeshall, the story picks up with Dan Morgan, played by Wahlberg, planning the perfect Christmas vacation to Europe for his family. But as the trailer shows, Dan’s past as a covert assassin catches up with him, putting the trip and his family in unexpected danger.

Alongside Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan returns as Jessica Morgan, Dan’s wife and former decathlete. Their children are played by Zoe Colletti as Nina, the eldest, and Van Crosby as Kyle, a gamer with the online handle “Kylleboi.” Kit Harington plays Aidan, while Sidse Babett Knudsen and Sanjeev Bhaskar join the cast as Svetlana and Vikram, respectively. Reda Elazouar and Daniel de Bourg also have roles in the movie.

The sequel was first announced in October 2024. According to reports, the returning cast members reprised their roles, and by December 2024, Harington and Elazouar had joined the project. Filming started in January and wrapped in March.

The Family Plan 2 is set to premiere on AppleTV+ on November 21. The newly released trailer highlights a mix of comedy, family moments, and high-stakes action, giving fans a first look at what promises to be an entertaining holiday adventure.
