FARGO, N.D. — Badland Batteries is announcing the launch of its commercial UAS batteries, offering 12S and 6S options for purchase on Oct. 13. Badland Batteries, a subsidiary of Packet Digital, will be manufacturing and shipping the batteries from its Fargo, N.D. location. In an industry overly reliant on Asia to deliver battery solutions for UAS, Badland Batteries is shifting the narrative by producing a top-of-the-line battery designed, manufactured and tested in the United States.

The 12S and 6S are both high-voltage lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 17000mAh. Using pouch cell technology, Badland Batteries is optimizing high energy density and high discharge rates to produce one of the highest performing battery packs on the market. With an operating range of -20°C to 60°C, UAS operators will be able to complete missions in a wide range of environmental conditions while maintaining maximum performance.

“Our engineering and manufacturing teams have powered some of the world’s most advanced
projects with custom battery solutions,” said Badland Batteries CEO Terri Zimmerman. “Now,
we’re channeling that same innovation and top-tier performance into our new commercial-off-
the-shelf 12S and 6S battery packs. Customers can count on these batteries to deliver Packet
Digital’s renowned quality and reliability straight out of the box.”

Plans are already underway to bring more battery configurations to consumers with 23000mAh and 30000mAh 6S batteries on the roadmap. The 17000mAh 12S and 6S configurations are now available for purchase.
