Week Six in the NFL saw some phenomenal performances from players who played collegiately in the West.

Each week, we highlight the region’s best pro performances from the standout alumni veterans and rookies

Here are my choices for the best of them.

Top NFL Performances

1. Cam Skattebo, RB, Giants/Arizona State (R)

The running back from ASU continues to impress in his rookie campaign.

Cam Skattebo

In the upset win over the Eagles, Skattebo ran for 98 yards and three touchdowns and added another 12 yards receiving on a pair of catches.

In the last four games, the Giants have posted a 4-4 mark while he has found the endzone four times, averaging 106.3 yards from scrimmage.

Herbert completed 29 of 38 pass attempts (76.3 percent) for 264 yards and two Justin Herbert 2touchdowns with a 112.2 passer rating in the Chargers’ 29-27 win at Miami.

The former Duck now has 35 career games with at least two touchdown passes and a passer rating of 100 or higher.

He joins Patrick Mahomes (44 games) and Russell Wilson (36) as the only players with at least 35 such games in their first six seasons in NFL history.

3. Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers/Stanford

Christian McCaffrey

The former Cardinal had seven receptions, 111 scrimmage yards (57 receiving, 54 rushing) and a rushing touchdown in the 49ers’ loss to the Buccaneers.

The former Stanford great is the first running back in NFL history with at least 50 receiving yards in each of his team’s first six games of a season.

McCaffrey joins Marshall Faulk as the only players ever with at least 50 rushing yards and 50 receiving yards in five of their team’s first six games of a season.

4. Kendrick Bourne, WR, 49ers/Eastern Washington

Kendrick Bourne

The former EWU Eagle is stepping up in a big way for the banged-up Niners.

In the loss to Tampa Bay, he had his second consecutive 142-yard receiving game. That total matched his career high, set in week five.

It is the first time in his career that he has posted consecutive 100-yard games.

The former Trojan had another good week as the Broncos’ defense shut down the Jets in London.
