2025 NFL MVP Odds, Race: Patrick Mahomes New Favorite, Baker Mayfield Surges

NFL Week 6 is in the books, and there's a new favorite at the top of the MVP oddsboard.

Let's take a look at the latest at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Oct. 14, as well as what to know about some of the contenders.

2025-26 NFL MVP odds

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs: +185 

What to know: The two-time regular-season MVP has 11 TDs and 1,514 passing yards on the season. Mahomes' odds shortened from +370, and he took over the top spot as MVP favorite after the Chiefs defeated the Lions 30-17 in Week 6. 

Josh Allen, QB, Bills: +300

What to know: Allen is the reigning MVP, and through six weeks, he has 11 passing TDs, three rushing TDs and four interceptions. Allen and the Bills lost their second game of the season in Week 6, a 24-14 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. After the loss, his odds moved from +150.

Baker Mayfield, QB, Buccaneers: +350

What to know: The Bucs are one of the hottest teams in the league right now. They're 5-1 straight up (SU) and 4-2 against the spread (ATS) and Baker Mayfield is cooking. He has 12 TDs (tied for third) and 1,539 yards through the air (fourth) this season. His MVP odds surged up the board from +1100 after his impressive Week 6 performance in which he passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns in Tampa Bay's 30-19 win over San Francisco.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Rams: +1600

What to know: The Rams are 4-2, and both of their losses involved some bad luck on their end. However, Stafford has 12 TDs and his 1,684 yards through the air are the best in the league.

Jared Goff, QB, Lions: +1600 

What to know: The Lions are 4-2 SU and 4-2 ATS and Goff has been the centerpiece of their success so far. He's got 14 TDs (first) and 1,390 yards passing. He completed 23 of 29 passes in Detroit's Week 6 loss to Kansas City. 

Drake Maye, QB, Patriots: +1800

What to know: The Pats are making some noise in the league at 4-2 SU, and Drake Maye is finding his stride as the starting quarterback. His 1,522 yards are fifth-best in the NFL, and he's got 10 TDs and only two interceptions through six weeks. He also has two rushing touchdowns.

Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers: +1800 

What to know: The Chargers opened up the season with wins over all three division opponents before suffering losses in Weeks 4 and 5. But in Week 6, Herbert helped the Bolts rally back and defeat the Dolphins 29-27, throwing for 264 yards and two touchdowns.

Jordan Love, QB, Packers: +1800

What to know: Love had an impressive Week 4, throwing for 337 yards and three TDs at Dallas in a game that ended in a 40-40 tie. He has completed at least 69.5% of his passes on the season and has seen his odds fall from +1100 since Week 3.
